In 1975, Congress enacted the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. One of the goals of the Act is to encourage businesspersons like you to write your warranties in "simple and readily understood" language. We, the Federal Trade Commission staff, receive many requests for guidance in achieving this goal. This manual is designed to give you achieving this goal.
